Sure its tambotie - it had that telltale smell... But the finish still holding up!

Dont have problems with the wood cracking - the CA finish used to crack and flake off... but it looks sorted now

Are you sure it is Tamboti ? Looks different to the Tamboti that I have used.
Have never had a problem with it cracking and have made a number of pens both with bought pen blanks and some very very dry stumps.(bastard to turnĀ )

Still a very nice pen

I just bought some Tambotie solid that I want to router out for pen boxes. But if they are prone to cracking I will have to use something ells
